Abstract
From the beginning of their movement in 1560 through 1860, Scottish Presbyterians were at the forefront of spiritual revival in the English-speaking world. This survey article traces the history of revival activity in Scotland, Ireland and America during the modern period, highlighting the significant people and events that contributed to these local, regional, and national religious awakenings.
