Research Project Abstract
Three key connections exist between the United Kingdom’s choice to leave the European Union and America’s choice to elect Donald Trump as President of the United States. These connections will be demonstrated by 1) comparing personality links between Brexit’s most influential public supporter, Nigel Farage, and President Trump, 2) evaluating opinion polls/voter data in order to determine the consequentiality of demographic similarities between those who voted to leave the European Union and those who voted to elect Trump as President, and by 3) exploring the influence of nationalist sentiments in each of these landmark decisions.
