What are the implications of the Brexit Supreme Court ruling on the UK's devolution settlements? This original research discusses the implications of The UK’s Brexit referendum on the autonomy of the devolved areas of Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Whales. It reviews the UK’s Supreme Court Decision in [2017] UKSC 5 on R v Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union. This research additionally explores judicial precedent surrounding the sovereignty of British Parliament. The paper concludes by enumerating potential outcomes for each of the devolved areas following a final Brexit deal.
