Research Project Abstract
Binary mixtures of anthracene with naphthalene, and 2-chlorobenzoic acid with 3- chlorobenzoic acid were analyzed to determine melting behavior at different molar ratios. Currently, there exist no accurate mathematical model able predict the changes of melting behavior across differing molar ratios. Differential Scanning Calorimetry is currently the most popular method employed, but often repeatability is found to be difficult, generating inconsistent results.
