Open Educational Resources (OER) are “teaching, learning and research materials in any medium – digital or otherwise – that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open license that permits no-cost access, use, adaptation and redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions." (UNESCO, 2020). OER include textbooks, courses, quizzes, and activities.
As ultra-affordable resources, OER improve student success as well as teaching efficiency and effectiveness. OER are openly licensed through Creative Commons Licenses or are in the public domain and are freely accessible to use, adapt, copy, and share.
This page showcases OER created by Whitworth faculty. Faculty interested in creating OER can refer to research guide for assistance. Please let us know about your OER by filling out this form.-
