"65th Father's Day Being Observed Today: Meaning Behind Honoring Dads Expands Scope, Foreign Nations Join Americans In Celebration," newspaper clipping of article from The Times-Herald, Vallejo, California, June 15, 1975. Clipping includes handwritten note at top, which is as follows: "In my diary June 14, 1939 I wrote 'Met Mrs. Dodd, founder of Father's Day from Spokane. She was the guest of N. Y. Star, Western Union. We had a good visit as both Study Unity so we became very close friends.' Helped her change to N. Y. train. Wanted us to go with her."
