Description
Letter to Sonora Dodd from Alice Hubbard, with envelope. Alice Hubbard and her husband Elbert established and operated the Roycroft Shop in East Aurora, N.Y., which was the center of the Roycroft movement (a part of the Arts and Crafts movement) in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century. Alice Hubbard was additionally historically significant as a major American suffragist and writer. Both Alice and her husband died in the sinking of the RMS Lusitania in 1915.
