Description
Official Proclamation by Willard "Duke" Taft, Mayor of the City of Spokane, Washington. Officially declares June 17, 1956 to be celebrated in the city as the holiday Father's Day. Willard "Duke" Taft served as Mayor of Spokane from 1955 to 1958. Copy of Official Proclamation by Arthur B. Langlie attached, declaring that Father's Day would be celebrated June 17, 1956 throughout the State of Washington. Arthur B. Langlie served as Governor of Washington State from 1941 to 1945. Envelope included, addressed to Mrs. Eva Estes.
