Description

Nisei who had evacuated without their parents, and those who had left internment camps, could not forget the reality of internment. Many of their families remained in the camps until the end of World War II, and some Nisei visited them from Eastern Washington.

Pictured above is the sister of a Nisei woman who attended Whitworth College and Washington State College. The sister’s photo was taken inside one of the internment camps.
